Setup and Install

Now that you have invited the bot in your server, it is now time to set it up. You can easily configure on your Discord server in any text channel with slash commands.

  1. Create a role for the verified member and/or a verified role for your staff.
  2. Place the bot's role above the roles of your verified members and/or your staff.
  3. If you purchased the Premium version, have the code ready. If you want to buy or see the features, click here.
  4. All configuration commands start with “/config”. The first one we are going to use is “/config init” that will create our Guild on GamerSafer.
  5. If you have premium, you can trust your bot's security level with “/config set confidence-score”. GS Auth has three levels:
    • High (all algorithms perceived age matches Adult self-declared information)
    • Medium (at least one algorithm perceived age matches Adult self-declared information) [RECOMMENDED]
    • Low (algorithms perceived age does not match Adult self-declared information, meaning the server will trust self-declaration only.
  6. The main configuration is finished, however, now your customizations are missing! That is, configure verification for: member, staff and/or by age.

Setup Member

You've set up the main configuration and now you want to enable verification for your members. Follow these simple steps!
  1. Create the “Verified” role on your server.
  2. The bot will provide the title when the user authenticates. Write “/config set member-role” and select the role to be given by GS Auth.
  3. From our side, everything is fine now. If desired, configure text and voice channels to be visible only with this role.
💡
Remember to leave the GS Auth role on top of any roles it must give!

Setup Staff

Now that you've got everything set up and want to enable verification for staff roles, follow these steps.

  1. Type “/config set auth-expiration” and select the authentication duration for your staff. There are “Daily”, “Weekly”, “Monthly” and “Annual” options.
  2. Now let's select the staff position that has the moderating powers. Use the command “/config set staff-role” and select the position. If you want to remove use “/config remove staff-role”
  3. Add your staffs with “/staff add” and remove with “/staff remove”. If you want to see the staff roles use “/staff list”. To see the roles of a specific user, simply select the option string "user".
  4. After that your staffs have to validate themselves using the “/validate staff” command.
  5. If you selected the expiration option, after that period, your staffs need to authenticate using “/validate auth”.
